Valerie is a very feminine handbag with its soft curves and great capacity, customizable thanks to its multiple inserts.

Characteristics

This handbag has a large central compartment, with an exterior patch pocket and a separating zipped pocket inside. It closes with a recessed zip and an optional magnetic tab that secures the patch pocket. Two handles allow it to be carried by hand or on the shoulder, and a removable adjustable shoulder strap allows it to be worn on the shoulder or across the bust.

The pattern is offered to you with instructions for making it with or without tab.

Dimensions :

35 cm wide, 25 cm high and 8 cm thick

The tutorial includes 20 pages of explanations with many explanatory photos that make it very easy to understand. You will find at the end the photos of the testers who have done a wonderful job. This pattern can be sewn from the intermediate level. The pattern is to be printed in real size.

Materials

It is preferable to use coated cottons, imitations, sacking or any other waterproof and solid material to sew this bag, in order to make it waterproof. You can also coat your cotton yourself, or leave it as is if you wish. If you use a rather thin fabric, it will be necessary to apply a decovil light type interfacing.

You will need : 

• 50 cm of exterior fabric
• 50 cm of lining
• 50 cm of foam interfacing or heavy fleece
• Woven interfacing
• 1 bag zipper (separable) 40 cm long, or nylon 5# zipper by the meter with 1 zipper pull
• 1 all-purpose shirt or skirt plastic zipper(non-separable) 25 cm long or nylon 3# zipper by the meter with 1 zipper pull
• 4 rectangle rings or strap connectors de 30 mm wide
• 1 magnetic snap
• 2 D rings 30 mm wide
• 2 swivel hooks 30 mm wide
• 1 adjustable slider 30 mm wide
• 6 strap ends 30 mm wide
• Piping 60 cm long
• Webbing or strap 30 mm wide x 3,80 m long
• some rivets
• 1 zip end (optional)
